Echo Valley Cattle Co is a family owned cattle ranch raising miniature Highland cattle in Fredonia, Kansas, focused on pasture sustainability, functionality, and responsible stewardship.  We believe this hardy heritage breed is perfectly suited for pasture-based programs and smaller acreage operations.  We specialize in producing miniature Highland cattle with excellent confirmation and good dispositions.  Our herd sire, Lakeport Gunnison, is a high percentage Scottish Highland carrying the "Chondrodysplasia" gene also known as the dwarf gene.  When bred to our Highland-Dexter cows, the outcome is undeniably cute and fluffy!  Our cattle are raised with a hands-on approach, prioritizing calm temperaments, structural soundness, and cattle that respect boundaries.  Our goal is to produce miniature Highlands that are manageable, productive, and well-suited for real-world farm environments.
