The Worlds First
Miniature Panda® Cattle
DOB-4/27/00 Height at birth 14 inches, Weight at birth 22 lbs.
What a surprise! Something new, something different, a one of a kind, the first of it's kind, a calf that has a panda-like look. Panda® Miniature Cattle are the result of years of development but they really came about by accident. Over many years we developed an American BeltieTM("Mini-Cookie") Miniature Cattle bull named Rebel. He is 75% Irish Dexter and 25% Belted Galloway. He is black and has a full wide white belt. Rebel is very beefy and only 36" tall at the hip at 2 1/2 years of age. As an experiment we bred him to one of our small Happy Mountain® Cattle named Sarah. We never thought Rebel's belt would come through but surprise surprise. On 4/27/00 Sarah gave birth to a very small little heifer now named Precious. Precious was only 14" tall at birth, is black with a wide white belt around her middle. She also has a special panda-like face, all white with large black circles around both eyes.
Precious is absolutely adorable. She has been running around the pasture with her new mom at her side. She kicks up her heels and gives a little moo now and then. Every so often she stops to get a drink from the faucets. What a joy to see this tiny God sent creature. Completely unexpected, she is the first of a completely new miniature cattle. She looks just like a panda but she's only a little heifer. We've given this new miniature cattle a well deserved name "Miniature Panda® Cattle". Precious is the first and she really is.
Rebel, the proud father looks on with great pride as if to say, "Well done little girl, you're a real sweetheart". Mom is a new mom and has learned in a flash what she needs to do. A lot of licking and cleaning going on here. Milk production is up. This precious little Miniature Panda® Cattle is hungry all the time. It is truly a joy to see such an adorable little creature. You can't walk away without a sense of amazement. God creates many new things but this time he has outdone himself. Will these markings be true every time? Only time will tell, but we intend to do all we can to focus the genetics in future breedings. The Panda® Miniature Cattle Breeding Program The Panda ® Miniature Cattle breeding program is a closed breeding program. It is a linebreeding program starting with one very special approved bull. No other animals are allowed without genetics from this approved foundation bull. In addition, all females must also be approved and all breedings must be approved by the registry. The name Panda ® cattle has been trademarked in the US, Canada, Mexico and most developed countries. Because of these special breeding requirements and trademarking, Panda ® Miniature Cattle will remain a very sought after popular unique pet bovine highly prized by their owners. The International Miniature Cattle Breeders Society and Registry issues certificates of registration pedigrees on all approved Panda ® Cattle. Registry control over breeding, female approval, and linebreeding requirements is unique in the cattle industry and insures purity of these adorable animals. PANDA® TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT Registered Panda® Miniature Cattle were developed at Happy Mountain® Miniature Cattle Farm and are the original and only recognized trademarked Panda® Cattle. Any other cattle being marketed under the same or similar names are nothing more than illegal fakes. Do not be misled by unscrupulous dishonest breeders selling unregistered questionable animals attempting to take advantage of the popularity of our Panda® Miniature Cattle product name. Authentic Panda® Cattle are trademarked and registered with the International Miniature Cattle Breeds Registry. These are the only Panda® Miniature Cattle. Any other cattle claiming to be Panda® or similar to Panda® Cattle or stating "Otherwise known as Panda® Miniature Cattle" are not registered or recognized by the International Miniature Cattle Breeds Registry. Use of the name Panda® in reference to cattle in any way is a product trademark infringement and will be dealt with accordingly.
